Park(ing) Day
ParK(ing) Day is an annual worldwide event where artists, designers and citizens transform metered parking spots into temporary public parks. Park(ing) Day is always the 3rd Friday in September, which means this year’s date is September 20.
The New Landscape Declaration
On June 10-11, 2016, over 700 landscape architects with a shared concern for the future were assembled by the Landscape Architecture Foundation (LAF) at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia.
Historic American Landscapes Survey (HALS)
Since 2010, landscape architecture preservation enthusiasts from every state have been challenged to complete at least one Historic American Landscapes Survey (HALS) short format history to increase awareness of particular cultural landscapes.
Mentorships
The WAAC/Potomac ASLA Mentor Chain is a mentoring program that provides student-to-student and professional-to-student learning and support from the beginning of a student’s academic career on into professional life.
