2018 Merit Award Winner, Rhodeside & Harwell, exhibited excellent Analysis, Planning, and Urban Design in their Sandy Springs Comprehensive Plan & Small Area Plans in Sandy Springs, Georgia. The objective of the plan was to maintain the exemplary quality of life and natural character valued by Sandy Springs’ residents, while proactively responding to the challenges of a fast-growing region with significant pressures to urbanize—including legacy zoning inherited from a suburban county, regional transportation challenges, and a jobs-housing imbalance.
