2018 Merit Award for Built Design

Presented to WMC Landscape Studio

St. Albans School, within the Close of the Washington National Cathedral in Washington, DC, was in need of an athletic complex upgrade. The project included the design of an entry plaza, retaining walls, and athletic facilities. This included regulation football, soccer and lacrosse fields with track, an outdoor pool, a baseball field and tennis courts. The overall site layout and landscape features were designed to extend the historic nature of the School and the Close, and included over 200 newly planted trees.
